Visiting and Companion Rules

As Medivia Health Group, ensuring our patients recover healthily while safely connecting them with their loved ones is among our top priorities. Visiting and companion rules are established to protect the safety of both our patients and visitors.

Patient visits, which are scientifically known to contribute positively to the recovery process, are of great importance for Medivia Health Group. The rules established for visits and companion procedures are designed to prevent hospital-acquired infections, ensure patient safety, and maintain the effectiveness of the treatment process.

Please contribute to your patient’s health by carefully following the rules outlined below.


Visiting Rules for Inpatient Wards

  • Visiting hours are between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM. These hours are arranged considering our patients’ care, rest, and sleep schedules.
  • Visits may be restricted or subject to permission if deemed necessary by the physician.
  • For emergency admissions or patients who have undergone surgery, first-degree relatives may visit with the approval of the physician.
  • These rules also apply to day-case admissions.


General Visiting Rules

  • Outside food and beverages are not allowed.
  • Hand hygiene must be ensured before and after the visit.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited within the facility.
  • Visits should not exceed 15 minutes, and no more than two visitors are allowed in the room at the same time.
  • Individuals at risk of infectious diseases or with weakened immune systems are not permitted as visitors.
  • Potted plants and flower bouquets are not accepted due to infection risk.
  • Do not sit on the patient’s bed or touch medical equipment.
  • Visitors may only enter the room of their own patient.
  • Special attention must be paid to rooms with warning signs on the door.
  • Please avoid making noise.
  • During pandemic periods or extraordinary circumstances, visiting hours may be changed; compliance with verbal and written notices is mandatory.


Visiting Rules for Pediatric Patients

  • Siblings or friends may visit for a maximum of 15 minutes.
  • Visiting children must not have symptoms such as fever, rash, cough, or diarrhea, and their vaccination schedule must be complete.
  • Hand washing is mandatory before the visit.
  • Physical contact such as touching or kissing is prohibited during the visit.
  • Visits must take place under adult supervision.


Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Visiting Rules

  • ICU visits are organized by the patient’s nurse.
  • Visits may take place daily between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM with physician approval.
  • A maximum of two first-degree relatives are accepted, considering infection risks.
  • Hand hygiene before the visit is ensured under nurse supervision.
  • The first visit may take place within one hour after admission.
  • Visits may be terminated due to possible emergencies.
  • Mobile phones must be kept switched off during the visit.


Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Rules

  • Parents may visit their baby between 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
  • The use of gowns and masks may be mandatory when required.
  • Mothers must wash their hands and remove jewelry such as rings and bracelets.
  • Hand hygiene before the visit is ensured under nurse supervision.


Companion (Attendant) Rules

  • Individuals who pose an infection risk or are unable to provide patient care will not be accepted as companions.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited.
  • Companions must not be present during physician rounds and medical procedures.
  • They may provide limited care support in accordance with instructions.
  • Touching medical devices is prohibited.
  • Companions may only remain in the room of their own patient.
  • Noise should be avoided, and warning signs must be observed.
  • In situations such as pandemics, companion conditions may be updated and compliance is mandatory.
