At Medivia Health Group, patient admission and discharge procedures are conducted meticulously with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction. We have compiled the step-by-step processes for you in this article.
Medivia Health Group operates all its processes with a patient-centered approach in a planned and transparent manner. Within this scope, patient admission and discharge procedures are carried out according to specific rules.
How Does Admission Take Place?
No registration or admission is done without the patient’s identification. Identity verification is the first step for patient safety.
Admission of a patient examined in the outpatient clinic is carried out based on the decision of the relevant specialist physician.
In emergency service applications, admission can be given based on the assessment of the on-call or emergency physician.
The patient completes official procedures at the Patient Admission Unit. If the admission decision is made in the emergency department, the emergency patient registration unit takes over this process.
The ward nurse welcomes the patient, introduces the ward, and performs a preliminary evaluation. The treatment plan is created by the physician and implemented by the relevant healthcare staff.
In case of admission of patients without relatives, the relevant unit informs the Social Services Specialist.
Personal items patients need to bring include pajamas, slippers, underwear, toothpaste, and similar necessities.
What Are the Discharge Procedures?
The discharge decision is made by the physician and subsequently a Patient Discharge Summary (epicrisis) is prepared.
This document includes the diagnosis, tests and treatments performed, medications to be used, control date, and hospital contact information.
All documents belonging to the patient are handed over to them upon request.
Personal belongings handed to the security unit are also returned to the patient at discharge.
Paying or privately insured patients can make payments after discharge procedures and then leave the hospital.
Medivia Hospital prioritizes patient satisfaction and aims to provide continuous information flow and support throughout all processes. You can seek assistance from our consultation units for any matters related to admission and discharge.
